![]() Not sure how best to check in more detail but it looks like I should have about 7.92 GB usable RAM, and not sure how much is getting used up while running the game. How much system & graphics RAM do you have? Is it maxed when running the game? I got it to prop again so I noted down the text this time so I could try searching it and I turned up some other old threads on a steam message board complaining about a similar error, but nothing they described doing to cause it sounds like what I'm experiencing (happening on start, or after loading screens, while running a mod, or while playing classic etc.) I'll accept that, although this is the first time I've ever seen this particular message. Homeworld remastered collection generic error mods driver#I'm on Win 7, with Core i7-2630QM CPU, and am now on GeForce driver 364.72 with a fairly old but should be within min-spec graphics card (apparently this driver can't tell what model it is but looking it up it looks like an NVidia Geforce GT 540 from 2011).Īccess violation is a very generic error message across c/c++ programs that basically just means it's trying to access something that doesn't exist in memory. Homeworld 1 classic seemed fine when I tried playing through that tutorial at least.Ī couple times before I tried the redownload I ended up with an "Access Violation" error message, repeated in several languages, but so far google hasn't turned up anything helpful. I tried it for both Homeworld 1 and 2 remastered, but it's the same tutorial in both cases and I don't really want to play the game like this if it's solvable. If I stay zoomed way out it seems like I can get past the spots that consistently crashed if I play the tutorial mission straight at the default zoom level (so far at least). I haven't tried playing more than the tutorial missions so far, but it seems to occur during explosions if I am zoomed in about standard distance from the action (so far it's happened while using bombers, but haven't experimented with other ships yet since I haven't played more than the tutorials). After updating to latest drivers, deleting local content and redownloading, reinstalling, rebooting, I still have this persistent issue where the game will lock up and then crash to desktop during gameplay. Hi guys, I just got the Remastered collection a couple days ago on steam, and had a string of issues that I'm wondering if anyone has seen before. ![]()
