With the available all-wheel drive, it’s rated at 27/32/29 mpg. With FWD, the engine has an EPA-estimated rating of 28/34/30 mpg city/highway/combined. The EX and EX-L trims use a carryover turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 190 horsepower and pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission that Honda says has been retuned. Honda streamlined the CR-V’s trim levels for 2023 - there are now only four. It also sees an updated hybrid powertrain and a revised multimedia system. The new CR-V is bigger for 2023, with a gain of 2.7 inches in overall length that translates to more cargo space and passenger room.
